Our Story

Our journey began in 2017, when a shared love for serving God brought us together in Fort Worth, Texas. The vision was first carried by our founder and visionary, Joseph Mutungwa, who approached each of us with a clear calling—to form a local band dedicated to ministry through music. From the beginning, the heart of this vision was not performance, but purpose.

Joseph’s vision challenged a common mindset: that one must be older or more established to serve in their God-given calling. Instead, we were encouraged to lead by example for youth and young adults, showing that passion for Christ can begin early and burn brightly. This conviction was rooted in Scripture, inspired by Ecclesiastes 12:1, which calls us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth. Many of us were young, growing in faith, and learning what it meant to be “on fire” for Jesus, even while navigating life, identity, and purpose.

In our early stages, growth was not always easy. We faced the challenges of learning to work together, developing discipline, and discovering our sound. Yet through prayer, fellowship, and reliance on the Holy Spirit, we began to understand that our calling was to minister to people through music led by the Holy Ghost. Our goal was to create worship that was authentic, Spirit-filled, and deeply rooted in faith.

As the band developed, our sound began to take shape. Drawing from our African heritage, we started blending traditional African rhythms and musical expressions with Western gospel and worship styles. This fusion became a defining part of our identity—offering something familiar yet fresh, and creating a bridge between cultures while keeping Christ at the center. Over time, this led us to move beyond covers and arrangements and begin composing our own original, Spirit-inspired songs.

What started as a musical ministry has since grown into a nonprofit organization with a broader vision. Many of us are children of Africa, with roots in countries such as the Congo, Burundi, South Africa, and Uganda. Because of this deep connection, we understand firsthand the needs of these communities and what is often lacking. Our mission has expanded beyond music alone, carrying a desire to return home to Africa and make a meaningful, lasting impact through faith, service, and outreach.

Today, our journey continues—grounded in the same vision that brought us together, guided by the Holy Spirit, and driven by a commitment to serve God, inspire the next generation, and share the Gospel through music that reflects both our faith and our heritage.
